Globally IP creation is gaining prominence with 3.46 million patents filed in CY22 compared to 3.4 million in CY21; India’s share increased to 2.2% from 1.8% during the same period.
Computer technology continues to maintain its top position among all application areas, doubling its share over the last decade
Share of women patent filers globally grew from 16.5% in CY21 to 17.1% in CY22, India recorded an increase from 10.2% in CY21 to 11.6% in CY22
