One of the key pillars of any diversity & inclusivity project is women. Gender diversity (esp. increasing women representation in the industry workforce) is now a strategic topic in the boardrooms of both global Indian firms. The IT-BPM industry in India has a strong focus on gender diversity and the industry has today 34% women in its workforce – 1.3 million and is India’s second largest private sector employer in the organized sector. Clearly, a benchmark we should celebrate.
