Workshop on Payment of Bonus

As you are aware the Government has recently notified amendments to the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965.

The revised amendments referred as Payment of Bonus Act, 2015 raises the salary threshold bringing more employees under the ambit as well as increasing the ‘base’ salary on which bonus is to be calculated. The amendments impact the IT-ITES industry, with the impact being more profound on some segments of BPM industry. There is considerable ambiguity on the quantum of payout arising from difference on ‘minimum wages’ across states and variation within the same year.

NASSCOM has made representation on the retrospective applicability, financial impact, administrative challenges and the ambiguities in the revised Act to the concerned ministries.

We are inviting you to a workshop to discuss the implications of these amendments and address some of your queries / concerns on the revised Act.
