Report : "NASSCOM-NRI report - Japanese investments into Indian IT"
Japan is a global tech leader and second largest IT spender in the world. NASSCOM has been working to realize the potential of Japan Indian Digital Partnership from this strategic market. One big element of our strategy is to increase Japanese investments to fuel their innovation with skills attainment by partnering with Indian IT. We are pleased to inform you that we have made significant progress in making India as part of Global sourcing strategy of many Japanese companies and to quantify our efforts, NASSCOM has partnered with Nomura Research Institute (NRI) on a research report (combination of primary and secondary research) that outlines Japanese investment into Indian IT between 2016 up to 2021 and provides a trend prediction for next couple of years. This is first time such an ambitious initiative has been undertaken to quantify Digital Investments made in India by Japan and result there of. This report will serve as benchmark index of gauging progress made since last few years and predict future trends for years to come and guide Government response with its targeted policy intervention to further enhance Japanese investments into Indian IT.
The report will be launched by high-profile representatives from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), India and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan and keynote remarks will be given by the Indian Ambassador to Japan, Shri Sanjay Kumar Verma. In the session, leading Japanese companies and investors with significant presence in India such as NTT DATA, Rakuten, etc. will also share their perspective on their vision for India.
