Since the early months of last year, the entire world including India has been experiencing an unprecedented health emergency in the form of Covid 19.Besides having tremendous human and social impact, the Covid 19 pandemic has led to significant business disruption as well.
ER&D centers are no exception to this. Over the past 12-15 months, the way ER&D centers function has undergone a huge transformation. A business function which primarily always operated out of an office setup and had a limited remote working culture, saw thousands of employees migrate to a work from home setup within a few days. To ensure business continuity, the ER&D centers went into overdrive to implement their BCP plans and formulate new ones whenever required. However, a lot of them faced challenges in the form of project delays, limited access to lab and test facilities, cost pressures and employee absenteeism to name a few. Though, some ER&D centers have been effectively managing these headwinds through their business continuity practices, there are still some organizations which looking to industry leaders and experts to help them guide and support in mitigating these issues.
Session Objective:
The panel discussion is a first in a series of e-Confluence panel discussions where we look to engage with a range of industry experts to seek guidance from them and help ER&D industry leaders navigate this crisis by addressing critical business issues with practical response measures.
