Overview of the Series
Global leadership in thought and action is the key pillar on which the GCC ecosystem in India will evolve. How well we influence global leaders and decisions, how well we understand business and anticipate change, how well we present our successes and the case for new opportunities will ensure how strategic GCCs become to the enterprise operations and strategy. It will also be the key lever to ensure more global leaders emerge from India.
When it comes to leadership, experience sharing and mentoring have been key tools of success. As part of the Global Leadership Building Commitment of the GCC Council of NASSCOM, we launch the masterclass series - chat with senior leaders of the industry, hear their experience of navigating global organizations and building careers and enterprises, question them on their approach and frameworks , understand different organization cultures and behaviours, be part of peers who are going through similar stages in their career and share your career mantras.
Ideal profile of a leader to join - Senior leaders (Directors/Sr Directors/VPs)
Would request you to please nominate 1-2 senior leaders from your organization and send us their details for us to share the meeting invite. Please send your nomination and mail ids to Shreya De (t-shreyade@mail.nasscom.in) and Hitesh Achra (hitesh@nasscom.in)
About the session in words of the speaker
GCCs in India are no longer only delivery centers and have become central to the global agenda of the parent companies, to drive digital strategies, programs and products. GCC leaders routinely work with peers from across the world to shape, negotiate and influence strategies and outcomes. Success in this increasingly global and virtual word require skills to navigate cultural differences between people from different countries across the world. The session will explore how cultures vary across a few key dimensions such as Decision-making, Planning/Scheduling, Providing Feedback, Persuading, Expressing disagreement etc., with a focus on day-to-day interactions. The session is loosely inspired by Erin Meyer's popular book "The Culture Map".
