Introduction to NASSCOM Future Skills Prime and National Skills Registry

Research indicates that 50% of the 4m employees of the IT industry need to be reskilled over the next 3 years. In addition, digital disruption is transforming every industry. Skills has once again become critical for survival in the changed business circumstances. Future Skills Prime is an online skilling platform launched by NASSCOM in association with MeitY, Govt of India with an aim to reskill/ upskill a total of about 0.4 Million employees (B2C) over a period of 5 years.

Background checks is another area which is a big cause of concern to the industry. National Skills Registry is a NASSCOM initiative to have a robust and credible information repository about all persons working in the industry. This develops trusted and permanent fact sheet of information about each professional along-with background check reports.
