Millennials generally are described as those born in the 1980s and 1990s, which means the oldest members of the generation-also known as Generation Y-began entering the workforce in the late 1990s and early 2000s.It's not news that Millennials have a huge impact on the workplace. Already accounting for 50% of the workforce and set to make up nearly 75% by 2025, they're certainly not going anywhere. Companies today have to be prepared to meet the needs of millennial employees. As workplace demographics continue to shift, workplace practices have to shift as well.
The millennial generation is the largest age group to emerge since the baby boom generation, and as this group grows significantly as a proportion of the workforce over the next 20 years, employers will need to make major adjustments in their engagement models. The impact of the millennial population is being felt in the workplace, reshaping many operational areas, including employee benefits. This year, the millennial generation is expected to become the largest living adult generation, overtaking baby boomers.
Motivating, engaging, and retaining people will never cease as managerial priorities, but employers will have to carefully consider what strategies they will use to cultivate and retain valuable millennial employees now and into the future? Come join us on 24th January 2020 at Le Meridien Hotel, Hyderabad and listen to few leaders share their experiences on some of the ways you can make your workplace more Millennial friendly.
