Senior Manager - ER&D Industry Initiatives

Basic Functions/ Job Responsibility

Accelerate Industry Growth:

  • Expand India’s ER&D presence within G2500 firms and drive the growth of existing firms.
  • Identify and secure high-impact innovation case studies from Nasscom members, craft compelling industry narratives, and spearhead branding efforts to position India’s ER&D sector with G2500 R&D boards and global C-Suite executives.
  • Capture and promote insights from global C-Suite leaders on India’s contribution to their innovation efforts.
  • Organize and execute global events showcasing Indian innovations, including developing themes, securing funding, and ensuring high-level participation from G2500 C-Suite executives.
  • Manage event logistics, coordinate stakeholder communications, and ensure successful execution of all event activities.

Talent Development:

  • Identify and address industry talent gaps in consultation with Nasscom members.
  • Onboard Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Nasscom member companies and lead the development of courseware for training the current and future workforce.

Innovation Metrics and Reporting:

  • Implement metrics to assess the industry’s innovation performance.
  • Collect and analyse inputs from Nasscom member companies, publish reports, and provide actionable data to guide business innovation strategies and inform government policies.

Policy Advocacy:

  • Support in preparing and presenting policy advocacy papers for state and central governments, and lead discussions with government stakeholders to influence policy implementation and drive improvements in India’s R&D ecosystem.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of cross functional experience in strategy, consulting, or marketing within the ER&D sector, preferably from an ER&D service provider or an Indian MNC R&D center, covering technology, manufacturing, and energy verticals.
  • Proven track record of managing programs and leading high-impact branding and marketing strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with C-Suite (CEO, CTO< CMO,etc) and stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of the ER&D landscape, industry trends, and key challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
