Manager – Delegate Acquisition

As a Delegate Acquisition Manager at Nasscom, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our national events by identifying, attracting, and converting high-quality delegates. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic delegate acquisition plans, building strong relationships with CXOs, key decision makers and potential attendees, and leveraging innovative marketing techniques to maximize event participation.

Basic Functions/ Job Responsibility

  • Delegate Identification and Targeting:
    • Identify and prioritize target audiences for each event based on industry trends, event themes, and strategic goals.
    • Develop comprehensive delegate profiles to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points.
    • Utilize market research and data analysis to identify potential delegates and opportunities.
  • Delegate Acquisition Strategies:
    • Develop and implement effective delegate acquisition strategies, including email marketing, direct mail, social media campaigns, and telemarketing.
    • Create compelling marketing materials, such as invitations, brochures, and presentations, to attract and engage potential delegates.
    • Leverage digital marketing tools and platforms to reach a wider audience and track campaign performance with in-house marketing team
  • Relationship Building and Management:
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior industry leaders, potential sponsors, and partners.
    • Actively engage with potential delegates through personalized communication and follow-up.
    • Address delegate inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Event Promotion and Marketing:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute comprehensive event marketing plans.
    • Identify and leverage opportunities for event promotion through industry events, publications, webinars, and social media.
    • Monitor event registration and attendance trends, and make adjustments to the acquisition strategy as needed.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track and analyse key metrics, such as conversion rates, registration numbers, and delegate demographics.
    • Generate regular reports on delegate acquisition performance and provide actionable insights to improve future efforts.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns and delegate acquisition strategies. 

Success Measures 

  • Delegate Revenue that meets agreed targets
  • Increase in the number of non-tech and non-member companies as clients

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in delegate acquisition, event marketing, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring and retaining delegates for large-scale events. 
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, including digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Canva/PPT, CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Digital Marketing: Expertise in email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing. 
  • CRM Systems: Proficiency in using CRM software to manage and track delegate interactions. 
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and draw insights to inform decision-making. 
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve challenges effectively. 
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Negotiation Skills: manage internal and external stakeholders along with vendors
  • Open to Travel: Able to meet clients and travel for outstation meetings and events
