The technology sector is key to the growth of UK-India bilateral trade relationship. Indian IT industry has been one of the largest investors in the UK. Given that there are several moving parts, precipitated by the pandemic, post-brexit roadmap and the interest for a free trade agreement, the tech sector partnership can be key to creating a win-win scenario for both the countries. |

This particular interaction, amongst the highest level of policy makers in UK, is extremely critical at the current time. Not only will it be an opportunity to understand British Government’s view on the future of India- UK partnership, it will give a chance to reiterate the importance and contributions made by the Indian tech industry in the UK economic recovery goals. Also, given BREXIT, this may entail a high degree of flexibility to carve out a favourable FTA for both the sides. |
