NASSCOM Women Product Champions

At NASSCOM Product Council, our vision is to transform India into a Software product superpower by helping the industry grow from $9Bn to $30Bn by 2025. And in order to build India’s narrative of #WorldClassfromIndia, there’s a need to develop & strengthen digital talent pool that supports product ecosystem’s unpreceded growth. So far, there has been a healthy growth of digital talent (@25% CAGR) and digital roles (@10%) but we need more to bridge the gap.

Today, NASSCOM ProductSkills (NPS) movement focuses on addressing this need through its pillars of - Upskilling, Mentorship and Creation of an Open Product Network. As we progress towards our goal of 50k PMs by 2025, there is a massive change in workforce expectations and immense growth opportunity in every industry sector. One wonders how can we add more women to this and how can we #breakthebias?  And, women have some of the important traits needed for building products!

We are proud to take a giant step in strengthening the product movement by launching 'NASSCOM Women Product Champions (NWPC)’ - an initiative to nurture & promote women's excellence in Product Management.  At NWPC, our vision is to create a world-class community of women product champions, that fosters & nurtures the growth of women Product Professionals.

With a goal to add 25K Women Product champions by 2025, we plan to achieve that by bringing women Product professionals & product aspirants together, build a well-connected ecosystem for women; Engage, enable and empower them leveraging the brainpower, leadership, curriculum, content @NASSCOM ProductSkills; generate more opportunities for women PMs, develop more C-suite product leaders in India and beyond!
