As we look back at a decade long journey of NASSCOM Diversity initiatives within the IT-BPM sector, there is much to cheer!
While the Diversity initiative was initially focused on Gender , we have now been able to apply the learnings in gender inclusions to other areas of diversity. In terms of progress, the conversations have moved on from diversity for diversity sake into a conversation that is a part of the mainstream. Business leaders now appreciate and understand the business case and have been able to influence stake holders and involve employees to participate in this journey through resource groups.
We take this opportunity to proudly announce the NASSCOM Diversity and Inclusion Summit 2016 themed "Diversity to Inclusion - What's Next?" scheduled on the 15th March 2016 at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru.
This year we focus on how we can strengthen our practices and make them sustainable, get a perspective on the new emerging trends in India as well as from a global view point.
The forum will have experts sharing their views on steps required to address:
- Inclusion challenges beyond entry level.
- How to build the Leadership pipeline?
- How to measure and manage business outcomes using realistic goals?
The focus will not just be on diversity ratios but on various processes and best practices across all forms of inclusion namely gender, people with disabilities and socio-cultural.
The 9th edition of NASSCOM Diversity and Inclusion Summit will have experts discussing, sharing and debating on various topics under the theme in forms of knowledge sessions, panel discussions and active workshops. The summit will celebrate the efforts made by organizations to foster inclusion and will also see the release of the Best Practices in Diversity & Inclusion Handbook.
