Enterprises in India have been on their digital transformation journey over the past few years as they seek to adapt to ever-changing market dynamics, rising customer expectations and the growing demand for personalized experiences. As India vies to become one of the Top Three economies of the world and a $1 trillion digital economy by 2026, cloud computing will be fundamental for this transformation. According to NASSCOM's "Future of Cloud and Its Economic Impact: Opportunity for India" report, accelerated cloud adoption has the potential to create a value-add of $310-380 billion to India's GDP by 2026 and ~14 million direct & indirect job opportunities.
These aspirations depend not just on how fast the technology sector is able to grow, but it is also going to be strongly shaped by how successfully the non-technology sectors are able to leverage technology to improve their overall impact. As Debjani Ghosh, President, NASSCOM recently said, "It is time we really started shining the light on what is happening in these analog sectors - manufacturing, healthcare, retail, agriculture, etc. - how are they leveraging technology, how are they digitizing and what is the RoI of their digitization because that is going to determine whether we are successful or not."
In this context, NASSCOM, under the aegis of its NASSCOM Cloud Advocacy Program, is launching its first-ever NASSCOM Cloud Adoption Awards 2022. These awards aim to recognize Enterprises and the Government sector in India for their excellence in cloud adoption. The winners will be felicitated at the second NASSCOM Cloud Summit on Nov 17, 2022.
