Discussed concepts will be demonstrated using hands on exercise for Android customizations to create an Android based Kiosk.

Audience and Pre-Requisites:

Ideal participants for this workshop are engineers, senior engineers who are familiar with Android application development and have not worked on Android framework customization. Workshop will cover high level architecture of Android and best practices for Android customization. Engineers intended to work on Android framework customizations should attend this session.

It is expected that participants understand Android debug tools.

The one day Big Data workshop, features a mix of hands-on technical exercises, brief lectures, demos, and case studies – structured to get developers up to speed leveraging Big Data technologies for a range of use cases.

Audience and Pre-Requisites:

This class is intended for developers who have some background developing apps in Java, Python, or Scala, but are not already familiar with Hadoop and Spark ecosystem. Course materials will introduce some of the basics of big data, plus review some of the history of Hadoop and Spark to help compare and contrast approaches based on MapReduce and Spark. The content emphasizes best practices, coding APIs and use cases from teams deploying big data at enterprise scale.
