About Pierluigi Casale, Data Scientist, TomTom: Pierluigi Casale is Group Data Scientist at TomTom and lecturer at Jheronimous Academy of Data Science (The Netherlands). He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering, a M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. He has worked in both academia and industry (Samsung, Philips) developing machine learning algorithms and data analysis for Internet of Things applications. His passion is to derive actionable insights from unstructured data collected in the “messy” real world, to be used for improving human life.
