Overview: 

Big data is a term for data sets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing application software is inadequate to deal with them. Challenges include capture, storage, analysis, data curation, search, sharing, transfer, visualization and information privacy. The term "Big Data" often refers simply to the use of predictive analytics, user behaviour analytics, or certain other advanced data analytics methods that extract value from data, and seldom to a particular size of data set

Every year we have huge increment in data quantities that need to be stored and analyzed. To be able to process such amounts of data, we need to use a technology that can distribute multiple computations and make them more efficient. Big Data comes with set of tools, technologies and frameworks which can efficiently crunch massive amounts of data and get valuable insights to the companies

About Tech Series for Women Technologists Initiative

Today, Gender Inclusion conversations are focusing more and more on building the leadership pipeline and plugging the leaking pipeline. While supply issues at entry level are being addressed with a number of actions and interventions - there is a leadership gap at middle and senior levels due to several reasons.

In order to bridge this gap and with an objective to empower, connect, and support the next generation of women leaders in the IT/ ITES industry and enable them with the necessary resources, and knowledge that will help them to realize their full potential and aid career development, NASSCOM D & I Initiative has initiated the Tech Series program for the Women Technologists.
